Laois hurling supporters have launched a "Bring Back Seamus Plunkett" campaign on Facebook.

It follows the Portlaoise man's surprise resignation as manager last night. 'Cheddar' stepped down after two members of his panel had played for their clubs on Monday against his wishes less than a fortnight before the O'Moore County's Leinster SHC quarter-final against Offaly. Trainer/selector Ger Cunningham has been appointed manager on an interim basis.

Laois have made huge progress under Plunkett over the past few years and many fans are desperate to see him reinstated.
