Carlow's David English admits that they face a confident Derry side in Sunday's NHL Division 2A clash at Netwatch Cullen Park.

The Barrowsiders are favourites to maintain their unbeaten run, but Derry will be keen to keep a similar run going, having two wins and a draw in the bank already.

"Whether it is home or away, it is going to be tough," English told the Carlow Nationalist. "There is added pressure on us. Fair play to Derry, they have got results against teams you wouldn't have expected them to get. They are driving on and have picked up five valuable points.

"It is hard to assess where we are with comprehensive wins in our two games. Having said that, I felt we could have pushed on a bit. Derry will be a sterner test than either London or Wicklow. We are looking forward to it."
