McIntyre expecting strong Tipp challenge

March 12, 2010

Galway manager John McIntyre
John McIntyre knows Galway will be in a game against Tipperary at Thurles on Sunday.

The Tribesmen have made a perfect start to their Division One campaign but are sure to get their biggest test of the year so far when they square up to the Premier County:

"Our unbeaten run will be tested in Thurles," McIntyre acknowledges in The Connacht Tribune. "Tipp have got their worst game of the year out of their system with that defeat to Dublin and they looked to be a very driven team against Kilkenny last Sunday.

"It is always a tough test going to Thurles, but we will not be backing away from the challenge. I suppose, with this type of game we will find out a lot more about our players.

"We do have momentum so I expect the team to give a good account of itself."
