Greetings!

Welcome to the second edition of the GAA Handball Newsletter.

March 2010 has been an extremely busy month in the national handball scene and the month of April will see a host of major events and games take place.

Annual Congress took place in Thurles on 28th March and saw Meath's Walter O'Connor win the vote as President-elect and the former world handball champion will take up his presidency at GAA Handball Congress in March 2011.

This week will see the build-up to the eagerly awaited All Ireland Senior 40x20 singles final as Cavan's Paul Brady will bid for a record-equalling 6th successive triumph. The Ladies Senior doubles and boys minor singles honours will also be decided at Kingscourt on Saturday 10th April as part of an exciting programme, commencing at 4pm.

All Ireland Juvenile Championship finals are also scheduled for Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th April while every weekend in April will see 40x20 national championship titles decided around the country.

Meanwhile, the month will conclude with the GAA Handball 40x20 Irish Nationals taking place at Ulster venues from Friday 30th April - Sunday 2nd May 2010.
