Does anyone know what games they showing live this summer? Are RTE steaming other games which they are not showing live as part of their main package?

I don't know... but I really dislike it when TV3 shows games. Matt Cooper, Peter Canavan, Senan Connell... all very poor pundits. I normally watch TV3 on Mute and have Newstalk/RTE Radio 1 on the radio for the commentary.

TV3 usually show the Connacht Final and possibly the Munster Football Final??? Surely they'll release their fixtures in the next few days....

Their coverage is not a patch on RTE, very little info/sport on their website. Interested to know which games, as neither RTE or BBC are showing Antrim v Monaghan(my own native co.). It's the 0NLY Ulster game not live on BBC!

As an Antrim man I would be wary of the BBC covering Antrim who are ranked 22nd in the country against Monaghan ranked 13th (Top of Div 3, 17th in league terms) this would be equivalent to watching Wicklow v Mayo in hurling. I don't believe the BBC are showing Cavan v Armagh this year, again given their rankings of 21st and 16th is it any wonder (Hurling equivalent Down v Derry). What does get to me is that the BBC NI does not show the Ulster Hurling Final (not one hurling match is shown on the BBC) yet for this past number of years they have shown Cavan, Antrim, Derry, Armagh matches that were non -events - poor quality, lack of skill and in most cases over by half time.

Brian_Coyote In fairness, the Ulster championship has been belittled with Antrim entering the Leinster championship, and by the fact that winning it has no relevance in terms of the Liam McCarthy. Also Cavan v Armagh is on BBC2 on Sunday.

tv3 are showing 9 games altogether. In hurling they are showing 2 Munster semi finals and in football they have the Leinster and Ulster football finals

Probably not.

TV3 is a comercial station and the Dubs would be the biggest draw, only right that they'd show them over another county.

Plus the crowd Dublin bring to Croke Park is probably less likely to be negatively affected by live tv coverage as it would be with most other counties.

Tg4 is no problem, they are willing to show the games the others aren't (u21, leagues, club matches, ladies, schools, colleges) And they have seo spoirt which does a great preview of all the weekends matches, if all broadcasters showed as much commitment to the gaa as tg4 it would be fantastic.

Check out the different bookmakers they usually have beside a fixture if it televised or not and by whom.I know paddy power have.

True TG4 do alot for promoting the GAA. Imagine if there was an Irish team in the Heineken Cup final this weekend.....the media would totally forget the GAA championship
