Would love to see Carlow come on now. Imagine Carlow contesting in a Leinster final and a consistant D1 team ? Carlow fans deserve a bit of good fortune. Best of luck for the the year Perfect10 waynoI (Dublin) - Posts: 13659 - 18/03/2013 21:30:43 1351725 Link 0 |

I agree, Carlow are one county I would dearly love to see doing well, I was charmed in recent years when we improved greatly at the smallball, ok we didn't win an All-Ireland or Leinster but we're in far better shape than we were years ago, at least we're competitive now. realdub (Dublin) - Posts: 8821 - 18/03/2013 21:35:03 1351730 Link 0 |

The more counties coming through the better. What is important to remember though is that this is only the league. If they are doing the same thing come Championship time then that will be real progress. tribeinbrum (Galway) - Posts: 4155 - 19/03/2013 09:59:41 1351790 Link 0 |

Fair play to Carlow. They could well reach the Leinster semi-final this year. John Meyler is an excellent manager. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4105 - 19/03/2013 16:04:02 1352096 Link 0 |

The hurling community in Carlow is very small, just MLR, Myshall, Naomh Brid, St Mullins and Erins Own supplying players to the team! carlowman (Carlow) - Posts: 1903 - 19/03/2013 18:59:32 1352270 Link 0 |

Good to see Carlow doing well. Themselves and Kerry have had alot of great games over the years. Its also good to see that they have built on the Christy Ring Cup and minor & Under 21 ''B'' titles they have won in the last 5/6 years moomoo (Kerry) - Posts: 4023 - 19/03/2013 21:08:57 1352359 Link 0 |

waynol - I am sure that most would agree that football is the bigger sport judging by the number of clubs. There are only about 6 clubs playing adult hurling in the county, whereas there is a multiple of clubs in football. Hurling is played predominantly along the Wexford and Kilkenny border and one adult club in Carlow Town. About 2 secondary schools backbone the county hurlers. carlowman (Carlow) - Posts: 1903 - 19/03/2013 21:33:29 1352375 Link 0 |
