Jayo transfer rumours resurface

Jason Sherlock
Dublin star Jason Sherlock has refused to confirm reports that he is set to transfer from Na Fianna to neighbouring club, St. Oliver Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh.
Sherlock took a break from football after Dublin's All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Mayo last August, during which time he missed an important SFC game with the Mobhi Road club. It was reported at the time that he had requested a transfer away from Na Fianna, but he eventually returned to the side and played in their SFC semi-final loss to St. Vincent's.
"I have nothing to say," declared the 1995 All-Ireland winning attacker.
Sherlock's Na Fianna team-mate Dessie Farrell said: "I heard rumours during the summer that Jason might be leaving, but I heard nothing from Jason himself. So I presume it was only speculation."
It is believed that recently-retired Dublin star Senan Connell is also considering a switch to Plunkett's, whose star player is Alan Brogan. Connell played with the Navan Road outfit before transferring to Na Fianna in the late 1990s.
