'Pillar' back in management
September 16, 2009
Paul Caffrey
Former Dublin football boss Paul Caffrey has been appointed as the new manager of the Leinster inter-provincial team.
'Pillar' succeeds fellow Dubliner Val Andrews in the role, having served as a selector to the Ballymun man along with Laois manager Sean Dempsey last year.
Meath selector Donal Curtis and Wicklow selector Kevin O'Brien will work alongside Caffrey, whose reign as Dublin boss ended after last year's heavy All-Ireland quarter-final defeat to Tyrone.
Leinster will face Ulster in the M Donnelly inter-provincial semi-final at Crossmaglen on Saturday, October 24 with the final taking place in Ruislip on Sunday, November 8. The other semi-final between Munster and Connacht will also take place on October 24 at the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick.
