Ring Cup: Henry points the way

May 16, 2015

Derry's Paddy Henry

Derry 1-12
London 2-8

Paddy Henry is the toast of Derry hurling after he swung over a late 65 to secure victory against London in the Christy Ring Cup at Owenbeg.

Extra-time looked a distinct possibility up until half-forward Henry stepped up and sent over what proved to be the game's decisive score.

He also put his name to his side's only goal which arrived early in the second-half and helped the hosts overturn a 0-6 to 1-5 half-time interval.

Mark O'Dwyer netted two goals for the Exiles but it's Derry who advance to the last four of the competition.
