Brady explains decision to retire

Mayo's David Brady
Mayo ace David Brady says a long-time back problem which may require an operation in the near future has forced him to retire from intercounty football.
"No one is going to help you out or cover your expenses when you have arthritis or severe back problems in 10 years time," the Ballina clubman explained.
"I have got a life to lead. I am feeling the effects of it already. Once David Brady is forgotten about, I have a lot more problems to contend with.
"It's not that I am sick of it or anything else. My body is breaking down. My back is absolutely killing me. It's hard to be driving in the car all day and go to training.
"I can guarantee you that in 10 years time I will probably regret having played for this long.
"I am not leaving because I don't think Mayo will win anything. I am retiring because I can't do it any more."
