February 26, 2011
St Brigid's Darragh Sheehy and Sean O'Brien of Nemo Rangers battle it out in the AIB All-Ireland club SFC semi-final at Limerick - INPHO
St Brigid's 0-13
Nemo Rangers 1-8
St Brigid's of Roscommon will contest the AIB All-Ireland club final on St Patrick's day after a deserved win over Nemo Rangers at the Gaelic Grounds.
The Connacht champions were underdogs but were the more impressive early on and it took a Sean O'Brien goal for Nemo goal to keep them level at the end of the first quarter, 1-1 to 0-4. With James Masters finding space Nemo led 1-4 to 0-5 at the interval.
Brigid's were winning plenty of ball and moved 0-10 to 1-5 ahead after dominating the third quarter. Nemo had lost David Niblock to a red card six minutes into that second half but Nemo refused to lie down and points from Masters, Brian O'Regan and Alan Morgan put them 1-8 to 0-10 ahead with time running out.
The Roscommon champions had the last say with three points from the outstanding Senan Kilbride (2) and Ger Cunniffe to edge a tightly contested game, with Nemo losing a second man as Aidan O'Reilly got a late red card.
