Clare's John Conlon
Clare hurler John Conlon has been impressed by the approach of new manager Davy Fitzgerald.

As the Banner County prepare to open their Division 1B account in tomorrow night's local derby against Limerick at the Gaelic Grounds, Clonlara clubman Conlon - who impressed for Munster last weekend - says in The Sun:

"It's been excellent. Everything is laid out for us. Everything is A1 and everyone is flying.

"There is great competition for places. It is great to see the youth in the panel. It is up to us to drive on now.

"I am getting older and a few other lads in the panel are getting older. We can't keep saying we are young players; we have to start winning.

"Look at the Kilkennys - they are used to winning. When you get close to beating them, you should beat them. The gap is closing and it is not that far away."
