Carlow joint-captain Alan Corcoran is adamant that they must have a good National Hurling League campaign.
The Barrowsiders are favourites to come out of Division 2A and they begin their campaign with a home clash against Wicklow on Sunday.
Pat English's charges go into the league in a positive mood following some decent performances in the Walsh Cup and Corcoran stated to the Carlow Nationalist that they have to continue that form.
"We have to concentrate on having a good league and doing the best that we can. We are in a positive mind," said Corcoran.
"There is a good atmosphere and we have a good dressingroom. Hopefully that will stand to us during the year. The panel is as strong as it has been for the last couple of years."
