24-hour party people want camogie world record

August 19, 2008
London camogie stars plan record-breaking marathon match to raise money for cancer. They are the chicks with sticks and this weekend they'll be available day and night as Croydon Camogie Club launch a world record attempt - a 24-hour camogie game. Last year the club celebrated its 21st birthday and made a trip to Dubai for the International Games where they won a special award for their commitment to the tournament. Now the London camogie stars are showing just how committed they really are by playing a game non-stop from sun up to sun down. The camogie marathon takes place this weekend, August 23-24th, in Ruislip, the Croke Park of London GAA, and all money raised from the world record attempt will go to the Marie Keating Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
