April 30, 2012The Seniors defeated Trinity Gaels in their Dublin League fixture on Tuesday but came a cropper to the stronger and more experienced Donard/Glen side in their Wicklow League fixture played in Newcastle on Sunday. The U12s travelled to Knockananna for the first round of their County Go Games League. The U14s were idle as Knockananna couldn't field. The U16s had a free night. The U11s played their first home game v CBC who travelled from their base in the South Inner City to Kilcoole for the match. We were delighted to welcome them to Colaiste Chraobh Abhann. This match was played in hurricane like conditions - and we were very nice to them - scoring 2 goals while they scored 3! The Under 13s played Setanta in Ballymun and finished on a very tight scoreline of Setanta 2-0 Kilcoole 1-1. Well Done to all 40 girls who togged out for the Club on Sunday - must be a bit of a record so far! Many thanks to all who helped it happen - it takes a lot of workers to keep the show on the road and we are very lucky that we have so many willing and able helpers! We can always find use for more...so if you have some time to spare and would like to put it to good use pls let us know....!
Coming up next week - the U16s play Annacurra in the League Away on Wednesday. The U12s travel to Kiltegan on Friday and the Under 14s are Free on bank Holiday Monday. We don't have fixtures at the week-end, instead we head to Dunnes Stores in Newtown on Friday and Saturday for a Fund Raising Bag Pack. Pls drop by and say hello!
The Under 11s who played at the w/e were: Kelianne, Lucy McC, Robyn, Holly, Molly, Aine, Kathleen, Megan, Lucy, Abbie and special mention to Catherine who was playing her first camogie match ever!! Well Done everybody.
