Minor All-Ireland Semi-Final
Westmeath 2-09
Kerry 4-08
Last Saturday our minor camogie team travelled to Mc Donagh Park in Nenagh to play Kerry in the All-Ireland championship Semi-Final. The team had been unbeaten in the previous games of the competition and had comfortably booked their place in the semi-final. Each and every player put their heart and soul into the game against a formidable Kerry side. At half time just one goal separated the teams as Kerry led 2-05 to 1-05. In the second half, while Westmeath clocked up a number of scores a goal and four points while the Kerry team put two further goals on the score board with three more points. Westmeath deserve praise for their determination and skill and their ability to score from play. Well done to this very talented group of players and also thanks to the mentors Ger Corcoran, Alo Eggerton and Geraldine Taite for their work with the team.
Scorers for Westmeath Catriona Murtagh 1-04; Aisling Boyhan 0-02; Nadina Grace 1-02; Nicola Fagan 0-01.
