As can be seen on the senior league Table it is last years League winners Lismore and runners up St. Annes who will be in this years league final. This years league cup has been kindly donated by Lismore Player Laura Buckley in memory of her father the late Denny Buckley who was always a proud supporter of both \Waterford and Lismore Gaa and Camogie. His daughter Laura follows in her fathers footsteps and is a key player in the Lismore senior camogie team . The League final is set to take place on Bank Holiday Sunday May 6th at a time and place to be confirmed.

Daily Irish Daily Star National League

The Irish Daily Star National League which was due to be played on Sunday last Waterford V Galway in Walsh Park did not take place as Galway failed to field a team in which was to be the final round of the group. Both teams at this stage were out of contention for a place in the final as Derry were group toppers and were in the final. Mark Cooney and his fellow selectors were disappointed that Galway failed to field as it would have been a game for the girls in the lead up to the All Ireland Championship.Instead, they arranged a challenge game against Wexford senior camogie team Rathnure. Eventho' the Waterford girls failed to qualify for the league final Mark and his companions were not disheartened as they hadn't fielded any where near their full team during the league, missing 8 girls from last years panel which will be due to return to training after exams. This should stand to them going forward to the future as management learned allot about the newer players on the panel. The Deise girls will have a break from the Inter County scene as they will be playing in the Munster Intermediate Final on June 2nd against the winners of Cork or Tipperary.
