Kilcoole Camogie Club News
November 01, 2010
We held a very successful Bag Pack in Dunnes Stores Cornelscourt on Saturday. On behalf of all the players in the Club, a big thank you to the many people who gave up hours of their time to Pack. We had over 30 Packers on the day from 10 am to 7 pm, which was a fantastic response and is greatly appreciated by everybody. Ongoing support for Fund Raising efforts such as this are vital to the smooth running of the Club throughout the season. Treasurer Eugene Condon does a great job and we have to ensure he has adequate resources. Our thanks also to Dunnes Stores, Cornelscourt for facilitating us.
A reminder that we are collecting old and unused mobile phones in aid of the Jack and Jill Foundation which does great work with the provision of home nursing care for seriously ill children - in return for our 320 phones, we will receive a set of U12 jerseys which we badly need - so keep them coming! Please bring them to training on Tuesdays in Colaiste Chraobh Abhann or give them to any Club member.
All phones, no matter the condition are welcome!
The new Adult County Camogie team Manager,Tara Warren from Kilkenny, held her first players meeting in Aughrim on Saturday evening - we would like to wish her well for 2011.
The AGM will be held in Colaiste Chraobh Abhann on Thursday week, November 11 at 8pm.
Nomination and Motion Forms are available at www.kilcoolecamogie.com
A new 6 week session of our 'Camogaerobics' Programme gets underway on Monday November 8th.
This is a Programme designed by the Camogie Association, aimed at parents of girls who have just taken up Camogie and Adult females who, for a variety of reasons, have become inactive in terms of exercise and would like to make a start at getting back into action!
The Programme incorporates light exercise as well as elements of the basic skills of Camogie which you can do at your own pace - apart from all that - last year's sessions proved to be the best of craic so why not come along and give it a go? Cost is 35 Euro for 6 weeks, 8pm - 9.30pm in Newcastle Community Centre and we finish the session with a Cuppa and a Chat. More information is available form Secretary Tracy at
