After the excitement of an All-Ireland a fortnight ago it was down to senior club championship again last week. Following a defeat by Inniskeen on Thursday the team was both at full strength and form on Sunday against Truagh. At the time of going to press a play-off against Castleblayney is in the offing.

There is great excitement among the Under -14 panel at present as the dates for the Kilcoole Club (Wicklow) exchange draw closer. Currently it is planned that Kilcoole will come to Clontibret on Friday, Sept 17th for the weekend and Clontibret will return the visit on Fri Oct 1st. A very productive meeting was held on Monday evening at which many practical details were fleshed out. Parents will receive a short, written update in the coming days along with their vetting form which they are asked to complete and return in a sealed envelope, asap. A further meeting is scheduled for Monday Sept 13 th at 8.00pm

The Under-14 county panel are scheduled to play Cavan on Saturday in Stradone at 12.30. Details have been forwarded to all parents. We wish the team well.
