Down U14 Camogie League Final

Dundrum GAC offered the idyllic setting on Saturday past for this season's Down U14 Camogie League Final between Bredagh and Liatroim. This promised to be a very keenly contested affair with both teams having already achieved success this season. Liatroim won this year's Down U14 Feile whilst Bredagh won the U14 Championship and from the throw in both sides strived to live up to this promise moving the sliotar swiftly from one end of the pitch to the other displaying some tremendous camogie skills and magnificent ground strokes. But it was Liatroim who had the edge in the first half going in at half time with a 2-1 to 1-1 lead. The start of the second half didn't disappoint either with Bredagh coming out strong and adding another goal to their score sheet but then Liatroim stepped up a gear and began to dominate the game with excellent skill and determination and they were finally rewarded with a win of 6-3 to 2-1 at the final whistle.
