Clontibret Camogie News
August 17, 2010
Well its back to Ashbourne-Donaghmore on Sunday to complete some unfinished business against Cavan in the All-Ireland Junior 'B' Camogie Championship final. Match time is 2.30 and, as before, Monaghan will wear the red and black of Truagh. Best wishes to all the team, but especially the Clontibret cailini, and to Paul Ward, the team trainer. Lots of support again for the team would be much appreciated!
On Sunday last our seniors drew against Castleblayney in the O Rourke Oil senior club championship- ironically with the same scoreline of 1-7 as was accrued by the county team in the previous Sunday's draw. Two further points were also notched up in the Armagh League this week.
As the County Under-14 coaching enters its final phase, the county Under-16 team is preparing for an Ulster blitz in early September. Well done to Aoife, Ailbhe and Orlaith Boyle, Demi Mone, and Tiarna Lavelle who are working hard for this panel.
The Beginners Group had their final session before returning to school, on Wednesday last. Well done to all the little girls and their parents who were very supportive all summer.
Finally, great to hear from Michaela Mc Ginn last weekend as she sent greetings to the seniors before their match. Michaela is currently based in Canada where unfortunately there is no camogie, but her thoughts were very much in Monaghan on Sunday last!
