Down U12 Camogie Championship Final - Portaferry 5-1 Liatroim 4-1
Portaferry are Down U12 Camogie Championship winners. In a nip and tuck game which went right to the wire Portaferry eventually got a goal minutes from the final whistle to clinch the title. This was a superb game of camogie with both sides displaying magnificent skill and determination but it was ground camogie that won the day.

Down U12 Camogie Shield Final - Atticall 4-0 An Riocht 0-1
In similar coloured jerseys with similar skills this game was a very entertaining local derby. An Riocht's forward line put their determination into every strike and with a lot of wide shots, and even the ball hitting off the post, they were unlucky not to get a score in the first half while at the other end of the pitch Atticall's Rachel Milling struck the ball into a crowded goalmouth and this was finished off into the back of the net by Aislinn Gilroy. An Riocht's Lauren Clarke displayed some fantastic lifting and striking skills but the solid back line of Atticall's Kirsty Sloan and Fiona Cunningham and brilliant blocking by Caitlin Quinn in goals made it hard for An Riocht to get their scores. Megan Hughes was solid in defence for An Riocht but the tireless work of Atticall's Shazney McVeigh and Niamh Quinn kept the pressure on for their side. In the second half the excitement continued. An Riocht's Sinead O'Rourke stood out and her catching and hand passing and great team play with Lauren Clarke made it a hard challenge for Atticall to get the ball to their forward line. However, Atticall persevered and eventually Michela Colgan got the sliotar into the net. Another great ground strike by Atticall's Niamh Quinn was rewarded when she too put the sliotar into the back of the net putting the game further out of An Riocht's reach but that didn't stop them and they got on the scoreboard with a great free in from Sinead O'Rourke. However, Atticall finished the game with another well taken goal from Orla Keenan to ensure they were taking the Shield home. Well done to both teams who made camogie the winner on the day.
