Clontibret Camogie News
August 03, 2010
This Sunday the Monaghan county team take on near-neighbours Cavan in the All-Ireland Junior 'B' final, in Ashbourne, Co. Meath at 2.30pm. We wish our club representatives well in this significant final and hope that there is lots of local support for the girls. Best wishes also to team trainer, Paul Ward, who has worked tirelessly with the team.
Our senior team suffered a heavy defeat to Inniskeen in the Monaghan League on Monday evening last. Next Monday Aughagallon travel to Clontibret for an Armagh League encounter.
On Saturday our primary school girls travel to Inniskeen for the monthly Development Blitz. Parents will be notified of the time, when it is confirmed. A good afternoon of camogie guaranteed.
Our Under-14 players continue to train each week in Cloghan and details of their Ulster Blitz on Saturday August 14th will be announced shortly.
This evening, Thursday, the senior panel have an important social outing with team trainer John whom we say 'bon voyage' to as he and Louise head to Australia next week to find fame and fortune! John has been an integral part of the senior set-up this past 3 years and will be missed by us all. Nonetheless we wish him and Louise a wonderful adventure and look forward to keeping up with them both through the modern technology available nowadays!
Finally all senior players are reminded that their contributions towards the Ladies Mini-Marathon must be submitted on or before Monday evening next.
