Meath travelled to Ballyforan in Co Roscommon on Sunday, to face the challenge of their old rivals in the 3rd round of the National Camogie League.

A tough game was expected, knowing from previous meetings with Roscommon Meath were up for this challenge, in the first 5 minutes Meath had 1-3 on the score board, wind assistance would also prevail, as Meath battled hard to keep possession and take their scores. Jane Dolan was on form from all her placed balls, Elizabeth Lynch, Niamh Kirby, and Fiona O’Neill working hard in the forward line, insured Meath tailled a score of 1-11 to Roscommon 0-1 at the interval.

Defending in the second half was going to be vital, as straight from the off Roscommon piled on the pressure, with scores from Cait Kenny and Sinead O Brien, Meath pointed frees from Jane Dolan.

Meath backs Kristina Troy, Fiona Madden and Aoife Thompson, to there credit battled a wind assisted Roscommon. Their second goal coming 3 minutes from time, to leave a mere 2 points between the sides and a second successful win for John Davis side..
Meath will travel to Kildare next weekend for their fourth round tie, and hope to keep the same battling team spirit as the showed in Roscommon.
