Cats sound ominous call

Kilkenny have recalled both Noel Hickey and Henry Shefflin as they prepare to take on old foes Tipperary in the National Hurling League Semi-Final. Manager Brian Cody makes 6 changes in all to the side that defeated Galway in the Cats last match on April 2nd. The most notable is former All-Star Hickey who comes in at left full back following a number of unfortunate injuries. He has yet to appear for the Cats since last years Championship after being diagnosed with a heart condition and later undergoing laser surgery on an eye injury. He looks set to pick up Tipperary danger man Eoin Kelly. Shefflin also makes a welcome return at full forward following a groin injury. The Ballyhale marksman has yet to feature in this years League campaign. Elsewhere James McGarry replaces P.J. Ryan in goals with Derek Lyng, Richie Mullally and Willie O' Dwyer also starting. Top scorer Richie Power drops to the bench after picking up a slight knock.
