Doon joined Na Piarsaigh in qualifying directly for the semi-finals of the Limerick SHC thanks to a 5-21 to 0-18 victory over Mungret St Paul’s yesterday.

Goals from Adam English, Chris Thomas, Barry Murphy, Darragh Stapleton and Eddie Stokes propelled Derek McGrath’s charges to their fourth straight win after they led by 2-9 to 0-8 at half-time. The result sees Mungret drop to Group 2 of the Limerick SHC next year.

Ronan Lynch scored 0-13 for champions Na Piarsaigh in a 1-26 to 1-17 win over Kilmallock on Friday evening. David Dempsey (Na Piarsaigh) and Phelim O’Reilly (Kilmallock) traded goals as the sides went into the break level on 1-11 each, but the city outfit found an extra gear after the restart to run out impressive winners.
