Today’s loss to Galway marked a first in the All-Ireland senior football championship for legendary Dublin goalkeeper Stephen Cluxton in 10 years.

Tomo Culhane’s point in the 69th minute ended up proving the difference between the sides as Galway stunned the defending champions at Croke Park with a 0-17 to 0-16 victory to advance to the last four in what now looks like a wide open Sam Maguire Cup race.

For nine-time All-Ireland winner Cluxton, the result marked his first championship loss in a Dublin jersey since the Dubs’ defeat to Jim McGuinness’s Donegal side at the last four stage on August 31, 2014.
