St Joseph's Miltown-Malbay kept their hopes of securing a three-in-a-row of Clare SFC titles alive with a 3-14 to 1-5 play-off win against Cooraclare this evening.

The holders' experience told in the end at Kilmihil where they led 1-6 to 0-2 at the break. Cormac Murray and Eoin Cleary accounted for all bar one point of their half-time total.

Defeat to arch rivals Kilmurry-Ibrickane in the first round has left St Joseph's facing the backdoor route. Victory over the winners of tomorrow evening's clash of Cratloe and Clondegad on Sunday will see them through to the quarter-finals.
