It has been a sad week in Kerry GAA circles with the passing of John Joe Sheehan and Liam Crowley.
John Joe Sheehan was a two-time All-Ireland SFC winner with the Kingdom in 1953 and '55.
He had the prestigious honour of being Kerry senior football captain for the 1951 season and also played in the '54 All-Ireland SFC final defeat to Meath.
The Farranfore native, who died on Tuesday, represented the Firies and Killarney Legion clubs, winning a county championship with the latter in 1946.
(2/2) John Joe was a two-time All-Ireland Senior Football Championship winner. He made his debut for Kerry in the National League in October 1949 and captained Kerry in 1951. He will be greatly missed. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a Anam. https://t.co/CKPaeRehBc
