The Sunday Game returns to our screens

This Sunday (10 May, 9.30pm, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player) sees the return of The Sunday Game as Des Cahill is joined by guests Stephen Rochford, Ciaran Whelan, Cyril Farrell, Anthony Daly and GAA President John Horan for a look back at some golden moments in Championship history.

Programme one features Dublin v Mayo in the 2017 All Ireland Senior Football final and Clare v Galway in the 2018 All Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final.

RTÉ Sport Classics continues tonight (Thursday 7 May, 9.00pm, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player) with Italy V Ireland from the Women’s Six Nations, 2013. Ireland’s women battle Italy and the elements as they attempt to complete their first ever Six Nations Grand Slam.

Italy v Ireland can be seen again on Sunday at 5.30pm also on RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player.

This Sunday also sees The Story of The FIFA World Cup 2014 (4.30pm, RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player) telling the story of Brazil 2014 as Germany were crowned World Champions for the fourth time.

On Tuesday 12 May at 8.00pm on RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player UEFA Champions League Classic Matches features Liverpool's 3-1 group stage win over Olympiacos at Anfield in 2004; Real Madrid 0-2 Barcelona in the 2011 Semi-Final, 1st Leg; and Dortmund 3-2 Malaga, Quarter-Final, 2nd Leg from 2013.

Next Thursday's RTÉ Sport Classics (Thursday 14 May at 9.30pm on RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player) sees more top class soccer action with a Euro qualifying double-header featuring a famous Don Givens hat-trick plus a win over the reigning world champions with Republic of Ireland 3-0 USSR on 30TH Oct 1974 and the Republic of Ireland 1-0 Germany on 8th Oct 2015.

Meanwhile, Game On continues Monday to Friday on RTÉ 2FM from 6-7pm with Marie Crowe, Donncha O’Callaghan and Ruby Walsh featuring a great mix of the latest news and feature interviews.

Sunday Sport on RTÉ Radio 1 is on Sundays from 2-4pm. There may be no live sport, but we’ll have the best live analysis and chat on the week’s developments.
