2017 Galway All-Ireland winner Johnny Glynn and his fiancée Serena Walsh have 'fully recovered' after contracting Covid-19 in New York.

The news was shared on the Galway Hurlers Homepage on Facebook today and thankfully the couple have recovered from the coronavirus "without any serious difficulties."

26-year-old Glynn moved to the 'Big Apple' in 2015 following the Tribesmen's All-Ireland final defeat to Kilkenny and has been based there ever since.

He was commuting back and forth from the US to play with the Galway hurlers during the 2017 and 2018 seasons and has been involved with the New York senior football team in a player and coaching capacity.

You can see an interview with Johnny Glynn on the Long Hall Podast below where he talks about his diagnosis.
