Limerick football boss Billy Lee says sustaining a panel for the next few years remains the aim for the Treaty County.
The Shannonsiders currently sit in pole position for promotion to Division 3 after four wins from four and head for Portglenone this weekend knowing victory over Antrim would leave them on the cusp.
However, Lee says he and his players aren’t looking past the Saffrons this Sunday.
“We are certainly content with the progress that we have made in 2020 so far,” he is quoted saying by The Irish News.
“I suppose promotion is not a word I would use, we don’t talk about it because we are in the middle of a rebuilding process and we need to just get focused from one game to the next.
“We need to solidify the panel within Limerick and keep fellas together. There were an awful lot of players coming and going over the last number of years, there has been a lot of change.
“That’s our focus, bringing a panel together and sustaining it for a few years so you can actually shine.”
