Team news: Westmeath hurlers return to Division 1

January 24, 2020

Westmeath players and management celebrate after the Allianz HL Division 2A final victory over Kerry at Cusack Park, Ennis.

Westmeath will mark their return to Allianz League Division 1 hurling on Sunday when they travel to Salthill to play Galway.

The Lake County ended that three-decade long wait last spring when Joe Quaid guided them to Division 2A honours. However, there has been a change of management since then with Dubliner Shane O'Brien taking over from the Limerick legend.

Westmeath (Allianz HL Division 1 v Galway): Aaron McHugh; Johnny Bermingham, Tommy Doyle, Adam Ennis; Aaron Craig, Aonghus Clarke, Shane Clavin; Cormac Boyle, Liam Varley; Joey Boyle, Niall Mitchell, Robbie Greville; Eoin Price, Darragh Clinton, Darragh O'Reilly.

The Allianz Football and Hurling Leagues are back this weekend and so is the Hogan Stand Match Tracker. Join us on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon for live score and updates from the opening rounds.
