Limerick manager John Kiely has named his team for Saturday evening’s Allianz Hurling League opener against Tipperary in Thurles.

The side shows just one change from the one which defeated Cork in the Munster SHL final a fortnight ago, with Mike Casey coming into the starting 15 at full-back in place of Aaron Costello.

Team captain Declan Hannon starts on the bench, where both Ronan Connolly and Aaron Costello await their league debuts for the Shannonsiders.

Throw-in at Semple Stadium is at 5.15pm

Limerick (HL1A v Tipperary): Barry Hennessy; Tom Condon, Mike Casey, Richie English; Diarmaid Byrnes, Dan Morrissey, Barry Nash; Robbie Hanley, Cian Lynch; Darragh O’Donovan, Tom Morrissey, David Reidy; Aaron Gillane, Graeme Mulcahy, David Dempsey

Subs: Nickie Quaid, Conor Boylan, Ronan Connolly, Aaron Costello, Sean Finn, Seamus Flanagan, Declan Hannon, Gearoid Hegarty, Darren O’Connell, William O’Donoghue, Paddy O’Loughlin
