Borris-Ileigh's lucky mascot 'Paddy the Cock' was in Páirc Uí Rinn today to witness the north Tipperary club's first Munster club SHC triumph in 33 years.
For the second time this month, the bantam cockerel was spotted in the winners' enclosure as joint-captains Sean McCormack and Conor Kenny received the O'Neill Cup. The tradition of bringing the bird to games goes back decades and as owner George Groom explained to TG4 after the 1-12 to 1-11 win over favourites Ballygunner "he's bringing us a great bit of luck!"
