Tyrone's Peter Harte has been cleared to play in tomorrow's Super 8s clash with Roscommon after having one of the three black cards he received in 2019 overturned.

The Errigal Ciaran clubman picked up his third black card of this year's championship in the Red Hands' All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Round 4 hammering of Cavan last Saturday and automatically received a one-match ban, which would have ruled him out of the Hyde Park encounter.

His other black cards came in Tyrone's Ulster SFC semi-final defeat to Donegal, and their All-Ireland SFC Qualifier Round 2 win over Longford. Harte's uncle and Tyrone manager Mickey Harte indicated after last weekend's game in Clones that the Red Hands would be appealing one of the black cards - the one he received against Longford - and it was duly rescinded at last night's Central Hearings Committee (CHC) meeting.
