DJ Carey's Kilkenny U20 hurlers made short work of Laois in Portlaoise tonight in the provincial quarter-final.

The visitors led by 2-8 to 0-6 at the break with goals from Adrian Mullen and James Bergin.

Mullen scored his second goal after the restart with substitute Sean Ryan and Stephen Donnelly adding to Laois' misery with two late majors.
