Kildare have named just four of last year's All-Ireland winning team for tomorrow's Leinster U20FC title defence opener versus Laois in Newbridge (throw-in 7.30pm).

Goalkeeper Aaron O'Neill, full-back Mark Barrett, centre-back DJ Earley and wing-back Daragh Ryan (captain) were all starters as the Lilywhites' beat Mayo in the first-ever All-Ireland U20 final back in August 2018.

Davy Burke stepped down from the manager's role in the aftermath of that success and was replaced by Gay Campbell who was involved with the Kildare minor squads that tasted Leinster success in 2015 and '16.

Kildare (Leinster U20FC v Laois): Aaron O'Neill; Niall O'Sullivan, Mark Barrett, Caolan Halpin; Evin McGovern, DJ Earley, Daragh Ryan; James Carey, James Burke; Liam O'Flynn, Darragh Kirwan, Brian McDonnell; Colm Joyce, Luke Griffin, Jack Cully.
