Kildare manager David Herity feels that unforced errors contributed to their loss to Roscommon in the Christy Ring Cup.
The Rossies cause a massive shock by defeating the defending champions just 12 months after Kildare had beaten last Sunday’s opponents by 25 points in the same competition.
And Herity felt that they made far too many mistakes throughout the game which was the main cause for the defeat.
“Since the end of the league two months ago, we were practising these things in training, but they just didn’t come off,” Herity told the Leinster Leader.
“Lads took the wrong options unfortunately, going themselves instead of popping off that easier pass. When the lads look back on the video, they’ll see a lot of unfortunate mistakes.
“Ill-discipline was the killer and unfortunately, Roscommon went straight down the field and we gave away two frees immediately to get them right back into the game.”Tweet
