Westmeath continue to set the pace at the top of Division 2A, beating neighbours Meath today to claim their fourth straight victory.
Robbie Greville was the star of the show at Mullingar as Joe Quaid’s men secured a passage to the 2A final with a game to spare, beating the Royal County by 1-20 to 0-20.
The sides were level when Jack Regan pointed a Meath free with 13 minutes left but the hosts fired over eight of the last 13 points in a dramatic conclusion. Greville opened the scoring with a third-minute goal and the winners led by 1-8 to 0-8 at the break, Meath having lost Alan Douglas to a second yellow card after just 16 minutes.
