
LIT cruised to a 22-point victory over Trinity College in their Fitzgibbon Cup round 3 encounter this afternoon.
The hosts romped to a 3-21 to 0-8 success and the result guarantees them home advantage in the last eight which is scheduled to be played over February 6/7.
The game was effectively over as a contest at the halfway stage with Jimmy Browne’s side 3-10 to 0-4 to the good.
Offaly’s Oisin Kelly, Limerick’s Peter Casey and Clare’s Peter Duggan (1-8) netted the goals for the winners.
