Harty Cup: Midleton and CBC Cork advance to final showdown

It's a fifth Croke Cup success in six years for St Kieran's Kilkenny

Midleton CBS and Christian Brothers College Cork set up an all-Cork Harty Cup final today.

A stoppage time goal from Ryan McCarthy snatched victory from the jaws of defeat for Midleton CBS in their semi-final clash with De La Salle.

The Fraher Field scoreboard read Midleton CBS, De La Salle 0-12 after midfielder McCarthy’s long range free ended up in the Waterford schools’ net.

Meanwhile, CBC Cork were full value for their 2-12 to 0-13 penultimate stage success at Kilfinane.

Shane Barrett and Jack Cahalane raised green flags for the winners while Padraig Power chipped in with 0-8 (7 frees).

The final is scheduled to be played on February 16th.
