Tipperary's Noel McGrath and Noel Connors of Waterford
Noel Connors has been named Waterford senior hurling captain for the Deise men’s 2019 campaign.
The Passage defender takes over the role from Kevin Moran, who led the team during Derek McGrath’s time in charge.
Waterford GAA also confirmed yesterday that new manager Paraic Fanning has named Pauric Mahony and Tadhg de Búrca as vice-captains for the season ahead.
The Deise will begin their 2019 season tonight when they take on Cork in Mallow in the Munster senior hurling league.
