New Tipperary senior hurling manager Liam Sheedy has confirmed both Tommy Dunne and Darragh Egan will be part of his backroom team next season.

Tonight’s county board meeting in Thurles officially ratified the Premier County’s new management team for 2019, with former All-Ireland winning captain and ex-minor boss Dunne and former player and Kiladangan native Egan both set to work under Sheedy as team coaches.

Cairbre O Caireallan (Strength & Conditioning) and Paddy O’Brien (Physio) are also a part of the managerial set-up with one more member set to be added before the backroom team is completed.

Liam Cahill will head the county’s U20 management which is made up by Mikey Bevans (coach), Sean Corbett (selector), TJ Ryan (selector), Tommy Ryan (Strength & Conditioning) and Paddy Julian (Physio).

Paul Collins takes over from Dunne as county minor manager, having worked under him as a selector this past season with Shane McGrath and Ger Ryan both named as coaches, Tony Shelley a selector and Alan O’Connor and Lauren Guilfoyle taking up the Strength & Conditioning and Physio roles, respectively.

Former Waterford supremo Tom McGlinchey is the county’s U20 football manager while Matt O’Doherty is retained as minor boss with Peter Creedon, Johnny Nevin, Viv Downey, James Boland and Jason Coffey named in his backroom team.
