Crossmaglen reign supreme once again in the Orchard County following today’s Armagh SFC final.

The famed south Armagh club collected their 44th county title thanks to a 0-24 to 1-15 success over Ballymacnab.

Nine different players made the scoresheet for the six-time All-Ireland Club champions whose name has been conspicuous by its absence on the county’s SFC roll of honour these past two years.

Rian O’Neill sent over five points (2 frees) while long-serving duo Johnny Hanratty and Aaron Kernan kicked 0-4 and 0-3 respectively.

At the opposite end of the field, Jack Grugan was in fine form for the runners-up and he helped himself to 1-5 in the first-half to help establish a 1-11 to 0-11 lead for his team.

The second-half belonged to the Donal Murtagh managed Cross, however, as they outscored Ballymacnab by 0-13 to 0-4 to seal a return to the winners’ enclosure.
