Derry forward Benny Heron is believed to be a doubt for the Oak Leafers' Ulster senior football championship quarter-final next month.

The Irish News reports that Heron sustained a damaged ac joint in his shoulder on club duty with Ballinascreen recently and could be in line to miss his county's showdown with either Donegal or Cavan on May 27th.

It comes as a blow to manager Damian McErlain, who had his squad recently bolstered by the return of experienced campaigner Sean Leo McGoldrick after his team suffered a shock relegation to Division 4 in the Allianz League.
