Team news: Sylvie Linnane's nephew to debut for Galway

A nephew of All-Ireland winner Sylvie Linnane will make his debut for the Galway senior hurlers against Laois in Portlaoise on Sunday.

Turloughmore youngster Sean Linnane whose father Gerry also played for Galway, starts at wing-forward in one of eight changes made by Micheal Donoghue from last weekend's narrow win over Antrim.

2015 All-Ireland minor winner Shane Bannon also gets his first senior start as John Hanbury, Greg Lally, Padraig Mannion, Padraig Brehony, Conor Whelan and Davey Glennon all return.

Matt Donoghue, Daithi Burke, Jack Grealish, Martin Dolphin, Eanna Burke, Paul Flaherty, Brian Concannon and Jason Flynn are the players who make way.
