Longford will have home advantage for their 2018 Leinster SFC clash against Meath, if they can get redevelopment work completed to a satisfactory stage before then.

If the Midlanders fail to have the work completed then the Royals will have home advantage as the game will be played in Pairc Tailteann Navan, which itself is set to undergo a major redevelopment in the near future.

The quarterfinal clash is due to be played the weekend of May 26th/27th, but it will be subject to a health and safety inspection before then to see if Glennon Brothers Pearse Park is fit to host such a game.

The 2018 campaign will be Denis Connerton's sixth season as manager during two different spells and if the game does go ahead in Pearse Park, then it will be his first home game in the Leinster championship.
