Glenswilly 1-10
St Gall's 0-10
A converted 26th minute penalty by Michael Murphy proved to be the difference between Glenswilly and St Gall's in the Ulster Club SFC quarter-final at Ballybofey yesterday.
Donegal star Murphy finished as his side's top scorer with 1-4 while 2010 All-Ireland champions St Gall's were left to rue 11 wides.
In contrast, the Donegal champions wasted just two scoring chances during the 60 minutes.
Andrew McClean fouled Murphy for the penalty and the All-Ireland winning captain made no mistake with the spot-kick to fire his side into a 1-5 to 0-4 interval lead.
The midfield pairing of Ciaran Bonner and Neil Gallagher grew in stature after the break and Glenswilly held on to set up a semi-final clash against Roslea Shamrocks of Fermanagh.
