Rebels romp to Munster junior title

Cork's Cathal Vaughan. INPHO
Cork defeated Waterford by 1-18 to 0-9 in last night's Munster junior football final.

The match was played at Fraher Field and the Rebels' victory leaves them very much on course to add to their record haul of 16 All-Irelands at this level.

The hosts got off to an encouraging start with two Gavin Crotty points but the winners then reeled off nine without reply to lead by seven at the short whistle.

Centre back Rory O'Sullivan found the net in the fourth quarter and Cathal VAughan was on target six times as the free-scoring Leesiders booked their place in an All-Ireland semi-final against Great Britain opposition next month.
